48″ x 36″ Acrylic on Canvas

Into Eden
48″ x 36″ Oil on Canvas $3200
The beautiful ‘Eden’ on the west side of Skaha Lake became the community of Kaleden almost 120 years ago. Kaleden has always been an agricultural community, evolving from fruit trees in it’s early days, to vineyards most recently. I thought it would be fun to place this old 1958 Chev Truck going about it’s business, in an indeterminate time, with the famous views to the south. A beautiful ‘garden of paradise’ indeed.

This painting is a depiction of Hester Creek Winery south of Oliver, BC. I was commissioned to paint it by friends in Alberta just months before I moved to the South Okanagan.
